House Bill 1073 is coming to Indiana with new regulations for Martial Arts. This bill could put traditional Martial arts under the regulatory oversight of the Indiana Athletic commission.
The bill aims to have the state use the Unifed Rules from the Boxing and Combat Sports commission for Karate, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Kung Fu, Sambo, Tae Kwon Do, Pankration, Bare knuckle, and wrestling.
This could mean big changes in the form of needing promoters licenses to hold tournaments. There is still a lot to discover and discuss. The official announcement will he made July 1st.
Until then, this may mean holding off on new tournaments happening after July 1st.
